Before any program commences, we at VO2 Performance always seek to ensure there is compatibility between the athlete and coach; once compatibility is confirmed we then decide on the most effective methods, and frequency, of communication to use for programming, advice, feedback, reporting, and training etcetera; these two pillars are established in-depth and ensure both parties are aware of the level of commitment required to ensure a high level of compliance in meeting goals that have been established.
In order to achieve a high compliance rate we at VO2 Performance believe a high level of athlete motivation is fundamental. The coach can help to achieve this by ensuring workouts that are identified and introduced into the athletes program are specific to the athlete and something they want to achieve. Goals are always established using VO2 Performance's version of the SMART principle.

In order to provide our athletes with the best possibility of achieving their goals it is compulsory that all athletes use TrainingPeaks. This not only ensures all workouts are accessible by both parties, at all times, but also provides both parties with a secure method of communication, is a fantastic performance management/monitoring system with instant access to statistical information, and can be a tool to ensure commitment and motivation remains high.
The VO2 Performance Coaching Program operates from Port Macquarie, on the Mid-North Coast of NSW, Australia. A series of weekly training sessions operate continually throughout the year. All VO2 Performance athletes are able to participate in all of these sessions free of charge and are encouraged to attend as often as possible. These sessions provide the best opportunity for continual evaluation and face-to-face consultations. In addition to the weekly sessions, several camps are offered throughout the year placing specific focus on building the sport specific skills and developing the strategies needed to ensure success in the sport.
